Dove Recovery House for Women

A FREE, SAFE, AND SOBER HOME

Dove Recovery House is Marion County’s largest substance abuse recovery center for women. Since 2000, hundreds of women have made Dove House their home as they seek recovery from substance abuse and addiction. Nearly 77% of our residents have successfully completed the program.

Requirements for Admission

Must be female, at least 18 years of age or older
Have a personal experience of alcohol and/or drug abuse or addiction
Be committed to recovery
Agree to stay at Dove House for at least 90 days (residents can stay up to 2 years if needed).

For the women who turn to Dove House, we offer transitional housing, counseling, and trauma therapy, life skills and job-readiness classes, nutritious meals, and family reunification services. Programming comes at no cost to our residents, thanks to the generous support of donors, corporate sponsors, and grants.

DOVE RECOVERY HOUSE AT SUMMERLIN PLACE

In December of 2016, Dove House moved to its new home located at the corner of 33rd and Meridan Street, just north of downtown Indianapolis. Our new building – made possible by the generosity of the Summerlin Family – allows Dove House to accommodate 38 residents at a time, more than twice the number of residents than our previous space allowed.

The house provides a calm and serene environment that fosters community and support. Rooms and dorms are brightly lit and cheerfully decorated spaces. Individual touches by residents are encouraged. A fitness center and library offer opportunities for fitness, recreation, and learning. Women at Dove House congregate in the common room for group meetings, and to socialize and spend quality time together.

PROGRAMS — LIVES TRANSFORMED

Substance abuse is a chronic disease characterized by compulsive or uncontrollable drug seeking behavior and use, despite harmful consequences and changes in the brain which can be long lasting. These changes in the brain can lead to the harmful behaviors seen in people who use drugs. This year, over 23 million people will have a substance use disorder. Dove Recovery House is here to help you or your loved one.
