Indiana-based media company audiochuck joins forces with Indiana’s largest women’s treatment and recovery program Dove House in a new partnership
INDIANAPOLIS— audiochuck, known for its #1 true crime podcast, Crime Junkie, has made a $100,000 donation to Dove Recovery House for Women to support the Indianapolis and Jasper-based nonprofit long-term treatment and recovery program for women struggling with substance use disorder.
In addition to the $100,000 donation, audiochuck will also serve as the presenting sponsor for the 2024 Dove House Celebration Luncheon & Dessert Auction, set to take place September 18th at the 502 East Event Centre in Carmel, Indiana. Each year, this event shines a spotlight on the work of Dove House while raising critical funds that allow the program to remain free. In Indianapolis, 40 women are served each night, and in Jasper, 15 women are served each night. Due to overwhelming demand and lack of affordable treatment options, Dove House will break ground later this year for an expansion project to add 15 beds to its Indianapolis location.
Dove House will utilize the $100,000 gift to support its Steps to Success after care program. Women in Steps to Success can receive limited rental subsidies and financial assistance with other barriers that might keep them from being able to make a successful return to independent living.
At audiochuck, all work is driven by a genuine commitment to helping people. Since December 2017, the company has created and produced multiple podcasts that have premiered at #1, amassing hundreds of millions of downloads a year. Dove House is certified as a level IV Recovery Residence through the Indiana Alliance for Recovery Residences and currently has a staff of 35 employees ranging from resident advocates, peer recovery coaches, licensed therapists and administrative staff.
