Dove House Named Nonprofit of the Year by the Indianapolis Business Journal

Last night, Dove Recovery House for Women was recognized at the Indianapolis Business Journal’s 2025 Nonprofit Excellence Awards as Small Nonprofit of the Year.

These awards, presented by Katz, Sapper &Miller CPA & Advisors, recognize local nonprofits, foundations, organizational leaders and businesses who work with nonprofits. Organizations were nominated and selected based on community impact, financial management, outreach and fundraising efforts and overall success implementing programs and services.

This recognition comes at an exciting time for Dove House as the Marion County location undergoes construction— expanding to house 15 more women, and a new build— Dove House Bartholomew County, in Columbus. In addition, as Small Nonprofit of the Year, Dove House will receive a $20,000 award.

When I walked into Dove House nearly 11 years ago, we served 23 women in one location, with a budget of $250,000. By 2026 we’ll have three locations, over $3 million dollar budget, and serve 85 women every day. It feels incredible for myself and team to be recognized for this work.” Wendy Noe, CEO

Dove House is always grateful for the support of our community. It is that support that makes our work possible. Thank you to the Indianapolis Business Journal and KSM for this incredible honor.
