Expansion will provide comprehensive long-term services to more women in need
INDIANAPOLIS – For hundreds of women struggling with substance use disorder, hope is on the horizon. Dove Recovery House for Women has officially broken ground on a pivotal 8,000-square-foot expansion of its Indianapolis campus, made possible by $4 million in grant funding from philanthropic organizations, government partners, and individual donors.
This expansion will increase capacity, enhance services, and provide critical support for women seeking recovery from substance use disorder—moving more women off the waitlist and into care. The new facility is expected to open its doors by August 2025.
This project has been made possible through the generous support of the following funders:
-
- City of Indianapolis Department of Metropolitan Development Grant through HUD CDBG funding
-
- DMHA FSSA Recovery Residence Grant – Opioid Settlement Grant
-
- Glick Philanthropies
-
- Lilly Endowment Inc.
-
- Nicholas H. Noyes, Jr. Memorial Foundation, Inc.

- Individual Contributions
“We are incredibly grateful to our funding partners for making this expansion possible,” said Wendy Noe, CEO of Dove House. “This expansion isn’t just about adding beds—it’s about rebuilding lives. For every woman who finds recovery at Dove House, families are reunited, workplaces gain reliable employees, and our entire community grows stronger. Thanks to our incredible partners, we can give more women the opportunity to heal and hope for their future.”
The expansion of Dove House’s main campus at 34th and Meridian Street will add 15 new residential beds, increasing total capacity from 40 to 55 beds. Additionally, meeting, programming, and office space will be added as part of this project. The need for this expansion is urgent—more than 200 women remain on the Dove House waitlist, with over 125 new admissions inquiries each month. Dove House provides a comprehensive, no-cost recovery program, including housing, meals, treatment, and wraparound services. Residents stay an average of eight months.
