Dubois County Resident Advocate, Heather Zehr

Heather Zehr is one of Dubois County’s newest resident advocates! She is so excited to join the team and help women overcome addiction. She is looking forward to helping the Doves know they are worthy, amazing and loved. In her role, she is a helper, listener, accountability partner and supporter of the women at Dove House.

She shared, “I hope I can help them see that people do care and love them. I hope I can help them see their self-worth. I hope they see God through me by my actions. I hope I can show them the love they deserve.”

Having women like Heather on the team truly help inspire and motivate the Doves to lead a substance-free life. We are so grateful for our resident advocates who make such positive impacts at Dove House.

Heather is personally invested in Dove House and our mission because her brother fought addiction over half of his life.

“A place like Dove Recovery House is a much-needed resource, not only in Dubois County, but everywhere,” said Heather. “The love and support of Dove House is an incredible and crucial resource for women battling addiction.”

Heather was previously an interior designer. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her family. She has a husband, two step daughters and a dog (who runs their house!). She also loves to go on walks, hikes, travel, paint and practice yoga.
