Meet Dove House Director of Development Amy Magan

Dove House is excited to welcome our new Director of Development, Amy Magan! Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism/Public Relations and a Master of Science Degree in Healthcare. She previously served as the Director of Communications and Community Engagement at the University of Indianapolis Center for Aging and Community.

Amy is thrilled about the opportunity to impact the lives of vulnerable women in her new role at Dove House.

“I wanted to work at Dove House because I want to spend my time making a difference in the lives of other people and in my community,” she says.

She believes that Dove House is a special place because, in her own words, “everyone (even me!) is accepted for who they are.”

Amy was looking for a way to tell meaningful stories and build authentic relationships, which is exactly what she plans to do at Dove House.

“Not only do I hope to impact our Doves by ensuring that Dove House can continue to provide outstanding recovery and housing resources, but I hope that I am one small part of the army that helps them to know they are capable, loved, and valued,” said Amy.

When she isn’t working, Amy can be found enjoying a nice walk outside, listening to audiobooks, napping in her hammock, and spending time with her family. When asked which quote she believes describes her best, she replied, “I believe in kindness, but also in mischief.”

Welcome to the team, Amy! We can’t wait to continue empowering and uplifting women alongside you.
