If you visit the Indianapolis location of Dove House, you’ll likely hear laughter and conversation coming from the patio and playset located just off the main entrance. The patio is a gathering place for our clients to relax, take in some nature, and play with their children on visiting days. And it wouldn’t be there without the support of TRIMEDX, a clinical asset management company, that encourages its associates to support nonprofits through its Charis employee giving and service group.
In 2023, the Charis group, led by Danielle Partridge, took on the task of giving the Dove House patio space a makeover. That included new patio furniture, colorful picnic tables, and an amazing wooden playset to replace the old metal set that was brought over in 2016 from Dove House’s previous location.
More than a dozen TRIMEDX employees gathered at Dove House on two Saturdays to clear out the old furniture and swing set, then assemble and place the new furniture. The wooden play set was delivered and assembled several weeks later.
Amanda Armstrong, chair of the Hands in Action committee arm of Charis, remarked, “It’s important to us that we contribute to our partners more than just financially. In this era of remote work, partnering with Dove House gives us the rewarding opportunity to come together and actively apply our time and talents to a truly worthy cause.”
The Charis group selects nonprofit partners for two-year rotations and is currently considering what their service to Dove House will be in 2024.
“TRIMEDX has been an incredible partner to Dove House,” said Amy Magan, director of development. “In addition to the makeover of the patio, they are longtime sponsors of our Celebration Luncheon & Dessert Dash and Denisa Lambert, a TRIMEDX vice president, serves on our board. We are so grateful for their impact on Dove House.”
