Dove House of Dubois County Peer Recovery Specialist, Priscilla Rickelman

Dove House of Dubois County is thrilled to welcome its newest Peer Recovery Specialist/Case Manager, Priscilla Rickelman. She brings a wealth of experience and personal understanding to her role, making her a valuable addition to the Dove House team.

Hailing from the heart of Dubois County, Priscilla’s educational background from Forest Park Jr. Sr. High School and Vincennes University, where she obtained an Associate Degree in Health Science, has provided her with a strong foundation for her work in the field. With over six years of experience as a Team Leader at Jasper Engines and Transmission and a year as a Resident Advocate at Dove House, Priscilla has honed her skills in leadership and community support.

Reflecting on her own journey to recovery from substance use disorder, Priscilla emphasized the significance of Dove House’s mission.

“I saw the importance and need for a residential recovery facility in Dubois County. When I started my journey to recovery 27 years ago, there were no facilities like this in my area.”

Her personal connection to Dove House’s mission and values has driven her to become an advocate for women’s recovery and healing. Priscilla’s firsthand experience has instilled in her a deep empathy for the women who turn to Dove House for help.

“I can empathize with the women who come through the doors of Dove House. I am these women. I know the struggles each woman faces with battling addiction and addressing traumatic events in their lives,” she shared.

In her new role as a Peer Recovery Specialist/Case Manager, Priscilla provides individualized care and resources to each Dove, fostering an environment of wellness, sobriety, and independence.

“I am passionate about helping the women of Dove House. I am here to support and guide each Dove through their journey to recovery and healing,” said Priscilla. “I want to help them deal with their feelings and emotions in a healthy way. To give them hope and show them that it is possible to sustain a substance-free life.”

Outside of work, Priscilla finds joy and fulfillment in her family life in Mariah Hill, Indiana. With four adult daughters and soon-to-be four grandchildren, her commitment to nurturing and supporting those around her extends beyond her work at Dove House, reflecting her values of love, care, and compassion in all aspects of her life.
